Kent Woodlands

Affluent families, remote professionals, and long-term residents

Kent Woodlands sits in the foothills of Mount Tam and is one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in all of Marin. Homes are large, often hidden behind gates or hedges. Lots are wooded and private. Many homes have backyard pools, outdoor kitchens, or full-scale gardens. Wildlife sightings—deer, foxes, owls—are common.

There’s no through-traffic here, and the whole neighborhood is quiet. People walk the Crown Road trail or ride bikes into Baltimore Canyon. Community involvement is strong, often centered around the Kent Woodlands Property Owners Association, which holds neighborhood events and keeps an eye on fire safety and planning.

You’re close to Woodlands Market and College of Marin. A few homes have been renovated extensively, but many still have modest footprints and lawns. It feels settled and livable rather than showy.

Homes are a mix of styles, with some ranches, some remodels, and a few newer constructions. It’s not flashy, but it’s incredibly well-located.
