I’m building a home in Goodyear as we speak and am super excited. The thought of all the growth that is happening in goodyear is going to be good for the future. With the expansion of the 303, the businesses popping up and people moving there rapidly, it’s a matter of time before it becomes populated so get in before it happens.

We moved to Estrella mountain Ranch in 2019. All depends what you’re looking for. If you’re looking for nightlife, you’re better off on the east side. If you want to be neighbors with young families/middle class America, Goodyear is great. We really like it up in EMR, but it is a bit of a drive down the hill to do most shopping.

We live in Estrella, which is south of the 10. Great area, beautiful, family oriented, good community to raise kids, but pretty far out. It’s not an issue if you do most of your things on this side of town, but you should figure out where you’re going to be working before you look at Estrella for example. We have to drive to the south end of Arcadia a few days a week and it’s about a hour to hour 15 each way in the carpool lane. The section of the I-10 between the 101 and 51/202 is insane. When it’s not bumper to bumper traffic it’s full of some of the most aggressive drivers around. It’s a rough drive. I would prefer to be on that side of town to avoid the 10 altogether but the math these days means we’d be paying twice as much as we do now for much less house, so we stick it out!

Overall, Goodyear is a good place to live. A lot of new amenities are going up right now. The City has built new libraries and a recreation center in recent years. Other than the slog down the 10, I can’t really complain.
