It’s a great area for families. The golf carts are fun. The schools are great. It’s a small place and there isn’t much to do at all. But there’s an amphitheater that has summer concerts and there’s a brewery that people seem to like. We do have a Night Market sometimes and also Senoia isn’t far and it has some festivals and night entertainment. There’s also newnan which isn’t far and has lots of restaurants and shopping. But night life - no. You’ll have to head up to ATL for that.
As for apartments, my daughter lived in Balmoral. It was decent. She didn’t like it bec they were on the bottom floor. But she ended up moving to a rental home. Houses are sooo expensive in PTC and they just didn’t have money to buy in the area. They’re waiting to buy elsewhere. I think the apartments in Kedron look nice.
Good luck. I think it’s a great place for families. I raised all 3 of mine here and they want to live here as well with their families when they’re at that point in life.

Great Schools - YES! Great City/Town for Family Life - YES! Great City/Town for Night Life/Going Out/ Things To Do - NOPE!
Moved here 2 years ago and while I do love PTC, I just don’t feel like I fit in AT ALL and there is NOTHING TO DO HERE. ATL has some things to do but that’s about an hour + drive (one way) and traffic can get INSANELY BAD. The weather is HOT AF from like end of May - end of Sept but since you’re from FL, you’re probably used to it. The food scene here is okay, I found a favorite restaurant so that keeps me happy.
Sorry but I don’t have any apartment recs but I live around the Braelinn area, which is nice and I believe they have condos around this area.

Ptc is a great place to lay your head. As a person of color myself, it’s a very welcoming friendly place to raise your family. But you’ll definitely be in the minority. But it doesn’t matter. I’ve seen absolutely zero racism here. There are people with political inclinations of both sides of the aisle but again no racism or discrimination that I’ve seen. Your neighborhood that you live in doesn’t need to have an abundance of young singles. Atl is only a 30 min commute. Honestly i bought my house here after moving to Atlanta 12 years ago. Living out my single life for years before meeting my wife and having kids. We bought here because of how unique it is. I don’t think any other city in Georgia has the same infrastructure as ptc. The entire city is accessible from one end to the other via golf cart paths. It’s so cool. Also the equity seems to build fast out here for home purchase.
