We have lived in the Ranch at Brushy Creek for 10 years. We have two kids (3 & 9 yo) and two dogs, and we all absolutely love it here. The neighborhood park and pools are great, and the neighborhood organizes nice community events a few times a year. It’s a convenient location being close to Brushy Creek Park (amazing) and all the shopping and restaurants you could possibly need on Whitestone. The neighborhood itself is also nice for walks with the kids and dogs, and you’ll see several families out in the evenings enjoying it. Good luck with your move, wherever you land!

We’ve lived in RBC since 2021 after moving from out of state (though we are originally from DFW).

Parts of the neighborhood (a small % on the west side) go to LISD, the rest goes to RRISD. Both are great school districts.

The community pools are used by the HOAs RBC, RBC 3/5, RBM and RBE. They’re never overrun but can be busy on holidays and weekends.

The walking trails are super nice to have and connect to Brushy Creek Park and the city is currently extending it to go northwest too. The parks and trails along Brushy Creek are amazing.

We are very conveniently located. There is still active development going on both residential and commercial:

Existing houses in RBC have been built from 2008ish but a lot are newer. Walsh Trails and Wilson Trace may have new builds still going on but don’t share our pools.

We tend to shop along Whitestone and 183 but like I said there is a lot of development going on so hopefully in the next few years we won’t have to go that way as often. Properties from around Hidden Oak Way right along Parmer and Ronald Reagan up to/past New Hope all have potential/active projects.

The Cedar Park Target is better than the Lakeline one.

HEB is convenient, there are other grocery options but besides Walmart they are a couple miles further west on Whitestone.

Overall we are super happy with the location and everything around us. I’d wholeheartedly recommend checking out the homes in Ranch at Brushy Creek!

Consider whether you’d prefer to live in city limits or outside of city limits. There are areas of Round Rock (like Brushy Creek) that are outside of the city limits but still considered Round Rock. It just means that the address is Round Rock but all the utilities and emergency services are done through a MUD or Williamson County.

Round Rock has a really great fire department and the police are usually pretty quiet. The city of Round Rock doesn’t have their own ambulance service, so the county’s EMS responds with RRFD. This doesn’t change response times but sometimes there will be a jurisdiction issue with the fire departments.

The Brushy Creek area has lots of parks and trails. There are some very nice neighborhoods over by Old Settlers Park.
