MV Capital
MV Capital supports the innovation economy and the Commonwealth's economic growth initiatives by converting research and early-stage innovations into viable businesses and jobs. We seek to identify ideas at the earliest prototype stage and provide much-needed coaching, mentoring, and funding to help turn those ideas into thriving companies that solve today’s biggest challenges.
- MV Capital funds 50 to 60 companies each year through its Venture Fund, SBIR START Program, and Clean Energy Grants
- We emphasize funding opportunities with diverse founding teams and from diverse geographies throughout Massachusetts
- In the past 5 years, MV Capital has created more than 10,000 jobs and generated more than $3B in follow-on capital
MV Accelerate
MV Accelerate provides educational programming, strategic direction, operational support and access to a network of experts to ensure innovative ideas have a greater chance of success. We establish long-term relationships with founders, aiding them on their journey from idea to startup to growth company.
- MV Accelerate supports hundreds of companies each year through its Commercialization Accelerator, SBIR Support, Founders School and The Fundable Founder Podcast.
- The win rate for our SBIR support team is 52%, more than three times higher than the nominal win rate of 15%.
MV Spinouts
MV Spinouts is an umbrella for MassVentures' programs that support converting innovative technologies into businesses and jobs across the Commonwealth. We work closely with all the research institutions in Massachusetts to accelerate tech transfer, streamline licensing, commercialize research, and promote entrepreneurship.
