Schools
Mt. Morris Consolidated School District receives mixed scores on the review sites. Niche.com gives it a "D" grade and similar ratings on GreatSchools.org. Parents of kids in the schools credit many of the teachers as excellent but at times struggling with fewer resources than they need to provide advanced learning and extracurriculars. The District does have improvement plans and some parents already note things are getting better.
The District has a pretty traditional structure. Several elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. Locals also send their kids to parochial schools in the area like:
Powers Catholic High School in Flint.
Reviews of Mount Morris from Locals
🦉🦉🦉🦉
I went to school here and I also work here, it is really nice. There area is small which is easier to get to certain places within the city. Close to other cities/ schools around the county. Has lot of job opportunities regarding fast food or grocery stores. Safety is good, has police near by when they can. At night, it is really quiet. It is family friendly, they have a lot of events in town that the kids can get involved in. Many apartments and houses are really affordable, have many available for people who needs one.
