Houston Homebuyer Assistance Programs
$125,000
About the Program
I. New Home Development Program
The City of Houston, in partnership with the Houston Land Bank, has created the New Home Development Program. This program utilizes properties obtained through tax foreclosures to construct new single-family homes in Acres Homes, Settegast, Sunnyside, Denver Harbor, Fifth Ward, Third Ward, and Independence Heights communities in Houston. The City provides up to $50,000 in subsidy through this program based on the applicant's financial need. In this effort, we are investing in neighborhoods to create sound infrastructure and to improve the quality of life for the families in the community.
