About the Program
The Utah Rural Fast Track program is a post-performance grant that provides up to $50,000 to existing small businesses in rural counties to help them create and keep high-paying jobs.
Key Requirements
- Business History: The company must have been in business for at least two years.
- Staffing: The business must employ at least two full-time workers.
- Agreement: The business must sign an incentive agreement with the state outlining specific performance goals.
- Job Retention: New jobs must be created and kept for a minimum of 12 months.
Grant Amounts
Payouts depend on how much the new full-time jobs pay compared to the local county average annual wage:
- $1,000 for each new job paying 110% of the county average wage.
- $1,250 for each new job paying 115% of the county average wage.
- $1,500 for each new job paying 125% of the county average wage.
