Life Sciences Start Up Business Investments

Includes startup funding of $150,000 to $650,000 for innovative North Carolina life sciences companies.

Small Business Research Loan (SRL)

Supports business inception and research critical to developing products, processes, or tools with clear commercial potential. 

Award range: $150,000 to $350,000

Strategic Growth Loan (SGL)

Supplements investments with angel or venture capital investments to fund life sciences companies that have established technical proof-of-concept and require further support to accelerate growth. 

Award range: $350,000 to $650,000

Agtech Small Business Research Loan (AgTech SRL)

Supports research to advance crop science, animal health and nutrition, food science, and other agricultural technology innovations that have commerical potential.

Award range: $100,000 to $250,000
